BREAKING NEWS: UMUKUUKA WA BUGISU OFFICIALS DEPORTED FROM TURKEY EN ROUTE TO USA OVER EBOLA TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

By Our Staff Reporter

A section of officials linked to Jude Mike Mudoma, the embattled cultural leader of the Bamasaaba, have reportedly been deported back to Uganda from Ankara, Turkey, after allegedly defying Ebola-related travel restrictions while en route to the United States.

Sources close to the matter indicate the officials were denied clearance and returned on the next available flight at their own expense, a development many observers describe as yet another difficult moment for the current leadership struggling to consolidate international legitimacy and diaspora support.

However, despite the setback, supporters of Inzu Ya Masaaba remain optimistic that the institution is entering a new chapter of stability and recognition. Cultural loyalists argue that the temporary travel incident should not overshadow the broader achievements and ongoing efforts aimed at uniting the Bamasaaba people both at home and abroad.

The incident has reignited debate within the Bamasaaba community, with some elders and cultural commentators interpreting the recurring controversies as a sign that traditional harmony within the institution must be restored before greater progress can be achieved.

Meanwhile, there are simmering reports within cultural and political circles that Inzu Ya Masaaba may have recently received important communication from government authorities regarding its legitimacy and future operations. Although no official statement has yet been released, speculation is already building across Mbale and the wider Bugisu sub-region.

Sources say that should the anticipated announcement be confirmed, the streets of Mbale could soon witness massive celebrations from supporters who have long stood behind the institution and its leadership.

As preparations for Imbalu 2026 continue, many Bamasaaba are now watching closely to see whether the cultural institution can turn the current challenges into a defining moment of renewal, unity and recognition.
