Mbale Industrial City Division MP Hon. John Wekesa Wambogo has continued to strengthen his grassroots mobilization as he seeks to represent the people of Male Industrial City Division in Uganda’s 12th Parliament come 2026.
In the past two days, Wambogo has taken his vote-solicitation drive deep into Namatala Market, engaging vendors, listening to their concerns, and presenting his development agenda. Market traders openly shared their expectations, calling for better working conditions, improved infrastructure, and stronger representation in Parliament. In return, Wambogo assured them of effective and inclusive leadership, pledging to amplify their voices at the national level.

Door-to-Door Campaign Ignites Hope in Namatala Ward
On 18 November 2025, Wambogo carried the momentum into Namatala Ward, where he conducted a highly energizing door-to-door campaign. Residents welcomed him with cheers, handshakes, and chants of “Tubula Omuwomboli!” meaning “Bring the Development!”
Walking through the vibrant community, the NRM candidate encouraged residents to turn up in large numbers in 2026, promising dedicated service delivery across all sectors.
“I will be a servant leader, committed to addressing the needs of our community in person,” Wambogo told residents.
He emphasized key priorities, including:
Improved road and drainage infrastructure
Better healthcare services
Support for education and youth empowerment
Strengthened market structures and business opportunities
Many residents used the opportunity to voice their experiences, frustrations, and expectations from future leadership.
“We’ve been neglected for too long,” said Mama Mishel, a local businesswoman. “We need change, and we believe Wambogo is the man to bring it.”
Children shouted his name, youth groups rallied around him, and elders blessed his journey turning the entire ward into a hive of renewed optimism.
Wambogo’s presence left a powerful impact. Chants of “Wambogo oyeee… Wambogo juu!” echoed throughout the neighborhood as residents pledged their support.
His message remained clear and consistent:
“I promise to be a servant leader, working tirelessly to address the needs of our community.”
With momentum building, Namatala is buzzing with anticipation. Will John Wambogo Wekesa be the leader to deliver the long-awaited development and transformation?
Only time will tell but the residents’ enthusiasm speaks loudly
