Kacumbala County, Bukedea District – 6th July 2026.
Aligoi Seed Secondary School has once again demonstrated its growing reputation as a beacon of educational excellence in Bukedea District, after passing out 170 students in a colourful ceremony held today, 6th July 2026.
Head Teacher Hails Government Support
Speaking during the pass-out ceremony, the Head Teacher, Mr. Amordan Moses, expressed deep gratitude to the Government of Uganda and, in particular, to the President of the Republic of Uganda, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for the continued support extended to the school.
Mr. Amordan noted that government interventions have gone beyond bricks and mortar, instilling a spirit of patriotism among students that has translated into greater discipline and a stronger appetite for learning. He pointed to the newly fenced school perimeter being constructed with government support as a tangible symbol of the safety, order, and pride now taking root on the school compound.
“This support has not only improved our physical infrastructure but has also shaped the character of our students,” the Head Teacher remarked, adding that the school remains committed to nurturing responsible, patriotic, and skilled citizens in line with the President’s manifesto.
Looking Ahead: A Call for Continued Support

The event drew parents, guardians, local leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students, equipped with the discipline and skills nurtured at the school.
A Decade of Growth
Founded in 2011, Aligoi Seed Secondary School has steadily grown from a modest community initiative into one of the notable centers of learning in Kacumbala County. A turning point came in 2021, when the school was earmarked for major construction and infrastructural development, a milestone made possible through the efforts of the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Oplot Patrick, alongside the Resident District Commissioner, Tukei William Wilberforce, and the Former Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Among. Their combined advocacy placed Aligoi firmly on the government’s development radar, paving the way for the transformation the school continues to enjoy today.
While celebrating the progress made so far, Mr. Amordan used the occasion to highlight pressing needs that require government attention if the school is to sustain and build on its momentum. Among the key requests made were:
• Regularisation of staff appointments, to secure the welfare and stability of teaching and non-teaching personnel
• Construction of staff houses, to attract and retain qualified teachers within the school community
• Student dormitories, to accommodate the school’s growing enrollment and support boarding facilities
• A school bus, to facilitate educational tours, co-curricular activities, and the safe transport of students
The Head Teacher expressed optimism that, just as government intervention transformed the school’s infrastructure in the past, these emerging needs would similarly receive favourable consideration.
A School on the Rise
As Aligoi Seed Secondary School celebrates the success of its latest pass out class, it stands as a testament to what focused leadership, community advocacy, and government partnership can achieve. With continued investment in staffing, accommodation, and mobility, the school is well positioned to expand its impact and remain a pillar of educational transformation in Bukedea District
