Patriotism Passout Ceremony Celebrated in Bukedea for Aligoi Seed and Kachumbala Secondary Schools

Bukedea, Uganda – A significant milestone was achieved on Wednesday,16th 2025 as Aligoi Seed Secondary School and Kachumbala Secondary School celebrated their Patriotism Passout Ceremony. The event marked the successful completion of a week-long training program aimed at instilling discipline and patriotism among the students.

Aligoi Seed Secondary School, which was established in 2011, saw a remarkable transformation when the government of Uganda took over its construction in 2021, thanks to the efforts of the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Patrick Opolot. This initiative has not only enhanced the school’s infrastructure but also fostered a strong sense of community involvement and support.

During the ceremony, the head teacher, Mr. Amordan Moses, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the government and the local community for their unwavering support. He acknowledged the contributions from the district leadership, including the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), the LC5s, and other district dignitaries. “Patriotism is the brainchild of President Kaguta Museveni,” he stated. “This program instills discipline in our learners and promotes co-existence between the school and the community.”

The patron of Aligoi Seed Secondary School Mr Wamalwa Augustus congratulated the students, referred to as patriots, for completing the intensive seven-day training. The program included rigorous classes, drills, and various activities designed to enhance their understanding of national values. The patrons also extended their appreciation to the school board and the government for their continuous support.

The chief guest, Major Ochan Moses, officiated the commissioning of the students as patriots of Uganda. In his address, he urged the students to maintain discipline in their studies and to work diligently towards their goals. “Success is not a coincidence; it is the result of hard work and dedication,” he emphasized.

The event culminated in a vibrant display of patriotism, with students showcasing their commitment to the values they had learned. The ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the students but also reinforced the importance of unity and patriotism in building a better future for Uganda.

As the students embark on their journey as patriots, they carry with them the hope and aspirations of their communities, poised to make meaningful contributions to society.
