SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM UMUKUUKA 4 ELECT UWE BAMASAABA

Greetings to the Esteemed Bamasaaba Community of Uganda, Kenya, and the Diaspora

I stand before you today with immense gratitude and humility as I accept this prestigious role as your cultural leader. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire Bamasaaba community for entrusting me with this highly respected position. Your confidence in me inspires me to serve with dedication and integrity.

Acknowledgement of past leaders

I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to honour the exemplary service of our past leaders: umukuka I, umukuka II, and umukuka III. Their diligent efforts and unwavering commitment to the Bamasaaba community have paved the way for our progress and set a high standard for leadership. Thank you for your sacrifices and the legacy you have left us.

Unity and Collaboration

In this moment, I call upon all Bamasaaba to come together in unity. It is essential that we put aside our differences and focus on what truly matters: the progress and development of our community. Let us forge a way forward, embracing collaboration and mutual respect. Together, we can strengthen our cultural identity and ensure that our voices are heard on the national stage.

Emphasis on Key Areas

We are going to put high emphasis on:

Coffee Production
Value Addition
Animal Husbandry
Food Security
Environmental Conservation
Regenerative Agriculture

By focusing on these critical areas, we can enhance our community’s economic resilience and sustainability.

Embracing Education and Community Values

We must *embrace education for our young people*, not only through formal schooling but also through good parental and community upbringing. It is vital that we restore community service by all and mentor the youth through mutual respect. This approach will help cultivate a generation that is informed, responsible, and committed to our cultural values.

Participation in Development Programs

I urge every member of our community to actively participate in government development programs. By joining the national grid of initiatives, we can enhance our collective well-being and bring about meaningful change. Our involvement will not only benefit us but will also showcase the strength and resilience of the Bamasaaba people.

Gratitude to Our Elders

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the elders who spearheaded this process. Your wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support have been instrumental in shaping our path forward. Thank you for your dedication to our culture and community.

Thanking God Almighty

Lastly, I want to thank God Almighty for enabling all of us to live together as a community. It is through His grace that we find strength in our diversity and purpose in our shared goals.

Together, let us embark on this journey of reorganization and development, united in our commitment to the Bamasaaba community.

Thank you once again for this honour, and may we move forward together in peace and prosperity.
