According to the Statutory Instrument No. 1 of 2018, the Constitution was first amended on July 31, 2010, and later underwent a second amendment on April 29, 2011. The proclamation affirms the Constitution as the parent law for all Bamasaba traditional and cultural matters.

Exercising powers under Article 246 of the Constitution of Uganda, Umukuuka II ratified all actions carried out by the Bukuuka (clan leaders) in accordance with the Constitution. The declaration, made under his hand and seal, reinforces the legal and cultural framework of the Inzu Ya Masaaba institution.
